Happy Independence Day!

I guess this is the best time all year to say that I'm so grateful for the wonderful country I live in and for those who've made sacrifices for my freedoms. I take it for granted a little too often, but I do realize that it's such a huge impact in my life.
So, my family is actually pretty boring for the Fourth of July. We have only one tradition- going to the fireworks the city puts on each year. It is so much fun. Every year it gets a bit more packed, and a bit louder, but every year, it's just as fun. This is probably my best opportunity to bump into random people all summer, and it's always great to see the friends I'm not always so great at keeping in touch with.

I'd like to finish by just saying that with only 8 more days of chemistry (count 'em people, EIGHT!) I will be doing my best to be more interesting- more projects and posts that actually have something of value. And if you get a last random bit on how excited I am chemistry's over, just understand that I'm completely psyched that I still get a month of summer vacation in which to live it up.
