Ah, So You DO Still Exist!

I swear, it's a miracle! March is finally here! This week, we got a mix of snow and sun here in Utah. The snow.... let's not speak of snow. But the sun! It is the most beautiful thing I think I have ever seen!
For those unaware, here in cute little Bountiful, we get non-stop sun from April until November. The months in between, we usually get clouds, 24/7. Right about now is when the sun starts showing it's beautiful face again. And really, the weather has been lovely the past few days. We've had temperatures right about 50 degrees, and I've finally been able to stop wearing jeans to school every day!
Now what blasphemy is this? A teenager who doesn't want to wear blue-jeans?! Yes, we do exist! Yesterday, I was absolutely unable to resist the urge to wear a dress to school and leave my jeans, boots, and jacket at home. It was absolutely heavenly! It would appear that the older I get, the more I like wearnig skirts and dresses- particularly the vintage looking ones. I'm thinking my closet may soon find more skirts in it......
And of course (me being me), I went and found a skirt pattern on line.

No, I haven't made this yet, and no, I don't have the fabric yet. But will I soon? Oh, you better believe it! I really have fallen in love with this kind of skirt lately, and although this pattern is intended for the "younger generation" you'd also better believe I'm ready to adjust the pattern to fit me. Dead serious. Need a skirt like this. Now.
